CUTTLEFISH – GENERAL INFORMATION

Latin name: Sepia spp. (large) / Sepiella spp. (small)

Cuttlefish are marine cephalopods found along Vietnam’s coastline at depths of 50–200m, with around 25 species identified in local waters.

Season: Year-round, peaking January–April (North) and June–September (South).

Catching methods: Hook and line, lift net, trawl, and traditional traps.
